Setup Outlook Express/98/2000 to access Email Setup Outlook Express/98/2000 to access EmailThis is a simple guideline for users to reference in setting up Email delivery / receive using Microsoft Outlook Express (come with IE4/5), Outlook 98 (come with later version of Office 97) and Outlook 2000 (come with Office 2000). This guideline capture screens from Outlook 2000 English edition running on Windows 98 English edition. You might see tiny screen difference between the screen captured below in compare with what you see on your computer screen. This example use the "Webmaster" account of Origin Systems as an example. Please use your Name, Email address, POP account and password for actual setup. Setting up Outlook1. Launch your Microsoft Outlook, and in the Tools manual, select "Accounts" 2. A new dialog box will show up like the one below, select the "Add" button and then "Mail" 3. Outlook will ask for your "Display Name". Please note that this will be the name displayed as "Sender" of your Email 4. By clicking the "Next" button, Outlook will ask for your Email address 5. Entering your Email address and click the "Next" button. Now, specify "POP3" for the incoming mail server, the POP server, and the SMTP server as below : 6. The next screen will ask for your POP account name and the password. If you want Outlook to remember the password for you, make a tick in the "Remember password" checkbox. 7. Depending on whether you're connect to LAN or using modem, select the appropiate connection type. Please note that for modem connection, Outlook will "AUTOMATICALLY" dial the modem for you. If you don't want it, you can select "I will establish my Internet connection manually". 8. Finally, click "Finish" to complete adding the account. 9. Now, you see your new entry on your list of accounts : --end of document--
